The Fitness Hill

Let's face it, we have an amazing ability to accommodate things as they get worse. This goes for cars that we long ago got used to as well as our very own bodies. We take the daily, minor enjoyments, such as food and drink, and let them mask the quietly accruing decrepitude and its accompanying misery.

This does *not* become easier to reverse past a certain age, as that accruing decrepitude accelerates - viciously. Which is why it's so important to get started right now and not put it off. Don't keep foisting the responsibility for starting an arduous, necessary program off on an older, tireder you. If you can't do it, nether can he.
