The Loop Pizza, San Marco, Jacksonville

Paying a visit to Jacksonville, we stop into this clean little eatery with less than an hour before they close, strung out from a day of travel. Still, they’re cheerful and helpful.

Someone from behind the cashier suggests the chicken pesto pizza - something new for me but I like chicken and I like pesto, so why not? My companion gets her usual chicken sandwich.

The wait is about 15-20 minutes and both are fresh and well made. The pizza is not something that most would think of when they think pizza but it does hit the spot. The crust is especially good, and would be delicious bread on its own.

THE ONION RINGS ARE CRUNCHY GOOD.

The fountain drinks are good - not always a given - and feature the soft crushed ice that make such drinks addictive.

Good job guys, and thanks for your patience.
